To increase accountability and transparency by training adult learners who are involved with the Social Service Sector, Community Services and or Restorative Justice Services. With on-site demonstrations, guest speaker presentations and or instructor training services.

The paramount purpose of the Child and Family Service Act CFSA is “to promote the best interest, protection and well being of children.” (CFSA s.1. (1)). In addition:

“To recognize that Indian and native people should be entitled to provide, wherever possible, their own child and family services, and that all services to Indian and native children and families should be provided in a manner that recognizes their culture, heritage and traditions and the concept of the extended family.” (CFSA s.1 (2))

Objective / Outcomes

  • Ensure adult learners receive improved professional development skills in areas of early prevention.
  • Provide culturally appropriate trends that support working professionals to respond to Aboriginal families’ needs.
